Early & Young Onset of Parkinson’s Disease

Overview

Proper Parkinson’s disease diagnosis is difficult, particularly in the early stages. For many people it takes years before they are accurately diagnosed. The fact that symptoms and progression of symptoms varies between individuals adds to the complexity of diagnosing Parkinson’s disease.

PAR's Young Onset Program

PAR’s Young Onset program is designed for individuals under the age of 60, including individuals who are still working. PAR’s goal with this program is to create a supportive and inclusive environment tailored to the specific needs and challenges faced by those with Young Onset Parkinson’s. This community is navigating the challenges of living with Parkinson’s while still actively engaged in work, family, and other various aspects of daily life. This program will include social events and educational programs that are tailored to this community.

PAR’s initiative is by providing tailored support, comprehensive resources, and opportunities for meaningful connections, the Young Onset community is empowered to navigate their Parkinson’s journey and personal lives with resilience and confidence.
