Chat with the Parkinson Pros: Balance & Stability
Balance and stability are often major concerns for Parkinson’s patients and their care partners. Individuals often find it difficult to maintain a normal posture due to the loss of certain reflexes caused by the disease. Without the ability to maintain a normal posture, individuals become unstable when standing upright and are more likely to fall. Postural instability is the hardest symptom of Parkinson’s to treat, but there are things you can do to reduce the risk of falls.
Join us for an educational opportunity with Meredith Roberts, Roberts Empowered Movement Center, for a discussion on balance and stability in Parkinson’s disease and what you can do to manage your symptoms. Meredith had been working as a neuro physical therapist for some time and saw similar experiences occurring with her clients and their families, especially in the Parkinson’s community.
Meredith was determined to take the challenges she and her family had faced and create a new experience for those affected by Parkinson’s Disease.
